Angela emphasizes a joy-filled approach to music education, focusing on proper technique and personalized instruction to foster creativity and confidence in her students.
Music should always be a joy, so it is my goal to always find the fun. I believe in exploration, trying new things, and familiarizing ourselves with new sounds and new feelings when it comes to making music. Proper technique is important, so my teaching has a firm foundation in pedagogy and understanding of music, musical concepts and how to achieve them, and how the body works so we can sing as healthily as possible. Most importantly is to meet students where they are at. We are all at different levels with different skill sets, personalities, and we all shine a little differently. My goal as a music educator is to build a musical foundation, inspire music appreciation, and foster my students' sense of creativity and confidence.
I have a Bmus in Music Performance from Brandon University and am currently enrolled at Western University to obtain my Master's in Music. I began singing at age 6 in church choir haven't stopped since! I began taking private lessons and performing in competitions. While in university I found a passion for teaching, performing, and working with others. Although I am classically trained, I've also been trained in musical theatre and pop styles as well. My teachers have worked nationally and internationally in opera, theatre, as well as musical theatre.
In addition to my time in university, I also perform in a funk band. We do everything from music festivals to birthday bashes to weddings. I've performed with professional development programs across the country in NUOVA Vocal Arts, a Wild Studio, and the National Youth Choir of Canada. I've performed in different festivals across the country in funk bands to premiering my own compositions.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
